Snowy Travel

Tyler and I traveled home after Scott's wedding in the first part of the big snow for the year. On the video it looks like you can see, but the snow was swirling so bad it was hard to see the edge of the road. We took turns putting our windows down. I could flip my windshield wiper. We didn't want to stop for fear we'd get hit in the rear end. South of Panguitch, we came upon a car that led us to Orderville. We stopped in Orderville and knocked snow off the wheel wells. I'm not sure how the tires were turning. The ice on the wipers looked like baseball bats. It took us 6 hours to get from Richfield to Kanab. Even in my worries and fears Tyler cracked jokes and made the trip an adventure.

Danielle in Brazil

Danielle with her 2nd companion. She has now served with 5 missionaries that were going home soon. She calls it killing off companions.
A precious rose among the other flowers at the temple in Sao Paulo.

If you look ever so closely, you'll see a monkey. No, not Danielle, the one in the tree! LOL She said this is really rare to see in the city.

New members that she just loves.

Another family she loves to death. Everyone is so AWESOME!

Another baptism and says this young man has now recieved the priesthood. She's so happy!

She can't say enough good about all the Brazilian people. She loves them all.
Danielle called us on Christmas Day. It was the icing on the cake, the star on the tree!

Christmas and New Year Fun

Ever try to find a tall beautiful blonde in a mess of packages. Look closely, she's there. Lacee stretches out for a long winter's nap.

Shalyce loved the shopping cart aunt Leisha gave her. She was all business, driving things around during the day.

Leisha loved her new hat I gave her. Look how surprised to see what she picked out a month ago. Okay, she didn't know exactly which one I was getting, but close.

Never mind the presents,Leisha just wanted a piece of candy and she's happy! Whee I could have saved some money if I'd have only known!

Leisha gottem' too, not sure if she's into Disney anymore!!!Ha

Leisha had an idea to write a message to Danielle in the snow Christmas Eve. We had fun, but our artwork was covered up with 4 or more inches by morning.

DW Danielle Whittaker is loved even though she's far away in Brazil.

Snowforts work better if you don't have powder.

Corbin works at making the fort higher.

Dave worked and worked to make his boy a slide. Corbin had fun. Dave, Tyler and Corbin threw snowballs. Corbin lost. I assume he'll be wiser as he grows older and take care of the old boys! Fun Fun!

Three handsome boys of the family!

Dave will do anything to show his boy some fun.

We used a windshield shade for a sled. Okay it didn't work so good, but when you're a redneck you use what you got! It wasn't that impressive to Corbin.

Basketball, Tyler's True Love

Tyler tip off @ Parowan. He got the tip, dressed in red.
Takin' it to the hoop against Piute.

Gotta love that jump shot!

Senior night. Tyler thinks a lot of Coach Burgess.

Tyler at Emery dressed in red, making those awesome jumpers!
The videos take forever to put on so that all I'm doing. Tyler had some fun this year with left handed lay ups, jump shots, rebounds and 2, which is in the 2nd video, steals and the awesome blocks! He played great defense and I had a blast watching him. Leisha took these videos on my still shot camera. It was fun. We took 2nd in Region and will play Richfield to go to state Saturday. Notice you'll hear the crowd call him T-Dub. It's his Kanab nickname. He received it the second day he was here in the weight room. Even most parents call him T-Dub. We lost our last game by 4 points, but came back from a 20 deficit in the first half. We just needed 30 more seconds on the clock. Kanab took 2nd in region and had a fun year over all.

Thankful

This time of year, not just because it's Thanksgiving time, I get really thankful for all my blessings, anyway the blessings I realize I have. Danielle is on a mission serving the Lord, Leisha is living and working in St. George (closer to home), Lacee and Dave love each other and my sweet grandchildren are healthy and happy, and Tyler is so good to me. I call on my brothers and sisters at anytime for anything and they help me out. Good friends are just a phone call away. I have a good job, a nice warm home, food in my belly, a way to get around from town to town, and right now I am experiencing better health. The Lord really takes care of me, even when I think times are hard, He's still blessing me tremendously.

Kanab Homecoming '08

Tyler and Friends enjoy being Royal for a week. Thanks to Julie Jackson and her pic skills, I have this picture.

The kids dressed up weird most days, had assemblies, etc. Homecoming game with Rich was a scary one. We pulled it out in the 4th quarter. Here's a pic of Judd (Justin Orton). He played his little buns off.
