Too Much Missionary Fun

I finally received some pictures from Danielle. She looks so happy. She says there are not enough missionaries there. They are working fast and furious to get to all the people who want to hear the gospel. Two baptisms already and many more waiting to hear about the church. She loves the people and area. I'm putting pics on here but have no clue who they all are. It's just so fun to see my little sweetheart happy and doing well, while she's far far away!

Martin's Cove

Tyler ran up Independence Rock.
Pretty place, but oh so mean in the winter to those pioneers.

Go North Young Man

Tyler and I vacationed in Yellowstone. We saw a grizzly bear. Up close it seemed kinda cuddly! Okay, from the car...

Teton Mountains can be scaled. Watch this video for a quick explaination!

Tyler takes a dip in this hot pool. The heat burned his eyes and which released his eye color and painted the pool. This sounds like some of my 2nd grader's stories. Notice the yuck smelly facial expression.

The waterfalls are awesome. Extreme water pressure caused Tyler to decline a swim.

The visit to Mount Rushmore gave us some patriotic perspective.

Tyler looked exactly like George, don't you think?

We stayed for the night program. Slowly they turned on the lights, while music played. Then they had veterans pass the flag when it was retired. It was so moving, I cried big tears!

Devil's Tower looked like the jolley green gianted had made a special cake. Up close it looked like fancy icing, similar to Aunt Sally's wedding cakes! Nature at it's best!

Boating with Babes

Tyler is blowing you a ski kiss!

Cor bean o rode this crazy thing with his Momma (Lacee). Grandma didn't crash them.

Leisha Bug is a crazy nut. She turns this chariot every which way, even upside down!

Baby Shalyce loved the water. She would try to get back into the water when we'd pull her out.
I didn't get super stud Dave on the chariot, but he was awesome. standing like a true warrior!
Lacee drove the boat in and loaded it on the trailer. I didn't know she knew how. It's nice to have someone else drive.

Tyler with the hot babe Susannah. They had a spectacular crash along with many others.

Corbin Vacations with Grandma Marvalee

Corbin is so cute. Of course, he's my grandson. I love his little guts out! Lacee was worried he'd spend most of his time watching cartoons. I bought him some action figures, Batman, etc., and he hasn't wanted to watch any cartoons. It's amazing what fun $1.00 will produce!

Danielle in the Field

Danielle is in the field. She is doing well. She needs our prayers. Cultural shock has set in. In her group she was the only American sent out in the field. Here's a picture of her with some of her new Brazilian missionary friends.

Family May 2008

Danielle is doing well on her mission. She sounds happy and very busy. She has always (since 12 years old) talked in church on Mother's Day. This year I told her that Tyler was talking since she left and then she informed me that she was picked randomly out of the audience to talk on Mother's Day. How funny. She sent me a postcard from Brazil. I can't believe how many skyscrapers there are. I guess she's not the tallest thing there! No pics of her yet.
Tyler tried out for Kanab Student Body President and got it. Kanab kids are so good to him. No wonder he likes it here so much. Of course he loved Hurricane, too, but I plucked him up and moved him to Kanab. His summer job is to be my landscaper. I told him I'd rather pay him than somebody else. He's got a big job since we have no lawn, no sprinklers, no fence, only dirt that's got to be leveled. We'll see what kind of skills he has.
Leisha has 2 jobs and is living in St. George. It's nice to have her close by. She is our hair dresser. The poor girl never stops cutting, coloring, etc. It's wonderful to be able to get my hair cut in my PJs. She and David D. visit often. She keeps encouraging me to be better at the healthy thing. I hope she keeps after me.
Lacee, Dave, Corbin and Shalyce are doing well.

Lacee is still in love with horses. Teaching horse classes and riding herself. Dave is quite the worker. He's amazing with the kids at home, too. Corbin is a total boy, with swords, guns, action heroes, etc. He loves to get dirty and will eat Grandma's eggs. Shalyce is a beauty. She has a smile on her face most the time. She brings us much happiness. She took some steps by herself on Mother's Day here at my house. Yeah!
